I'm compelled to share a truly terrible online shopping experience I've had with Shreve & Co., which was the final straw after a deeply disappointing in-store visit. Consider this a cautionary tale. While my initial experience at their Portland store was wonderful, my recent visit to my local Palo Alto Shreve & Co. left much to be desired. Frankly, the service was not nearly as good as I had previously experienced. This overall frustration, compounded by my difficult online attempts to address it, is why I felt it necessary to leave this review and engage directly with customer service.
Customer: I'm really upset about my recent visit to your Palo Alto store. The service was not nearly as good as I had previously experienced, and trying to get help online afterwards was just as frustrating. CS Rep: I'm so sorry to hear that, and I truly apologize for both your in-store experience and any difficulty you faced online. Could you please tell me more about what happened in the Palo Alto store? We want to understand and improve. Customer: Well, it felt like I was an afterthought. Compared to my visit to Portland, the staff in Palo Alto seemed distracted and unhelpful. I felt rushed and not valued as a customer. It was a complete letdown. CS Rep: I completely understand your disappointment, and that's certainly not the experience we want for any of our clients. We take your feedback seriously. Would you be open to a follow-up call with the store manager, or perhaps a personalized visit to try and make things right?
